The learn2type Story

Far far away in the heart 💙 of the Europe, in a little stone house surrounded by wild forests 🌲🌲🌲, …this app was born as a set of simple games, which I have developed for my 9-year-old daughter 👧 in 2022. I wanted to create something that would attract her interest in IT 🤖, while she would be able to improve her typing skills in a playful way 🎮. She was the very first learn2type tester and co-creator of some game ideas. In a few months, she improved from the level of ‘tapping with the one finger and looking for each letter’ 🕵️‍♀️ to the level with typing speed at 500 [ms/keystroke] 🚀. This convinced me that I was going in the right direction and I decided to continue and create more complex application, with the user settings, statistics, games and English lessons with more than 800 words and symbols 🤯. I have been coding in the evenings after work, and it took me almost a year 🐌 to get the application to a publishable level 🥳. There are still some unfinished functions and games, that I wish to complete. I would like to keep the application maintained 🔧 and make regular updates with all reported bugs 🪲 fixed.
